Jewelry care
Small habits preserve the finish.
Gold-plated surfaces and natural stones respond best to gentle handling, dry storage and a simple routine after wear.

The daily ritual
Wear it. Wipe it. Store it separately.
After wear, use a clean, dry and very soft cloth to remove skin oils. Let the piece dry fully before placing it in its box, away from harder jewelry that may scratch the surface.
- Apply perfume and skincare before jewelry
- Remove before water, exercise and sleep
- Keep pieces apart inside a dry box or pouch
Material-specific guidance
Care changes with the stone.
Natural variation is part of each stone’s character. The safest approach is always the gentlest one.
Gold-plated metal
Avoid abrasive cloths, polishing compounds, alcohol and chemical dips. Friction, moisture and cosmetics gradually affect plated finishes.
Mother-of-pearl & pearl
These organic materials are sensitive to perfume, hairspray, acids and heat. Wipe lightly and never soak.
Malachite & turquoise
Porous stones can mark or change with water and chemicals. Keep them dry and avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaning.
Carnelian, onyx & hard stones
Although more resilient, settings and plated edges still need gentle care. Use only a dry soft cloth unless advised otherwise.
Diamond-set surfaces
Remove dust with a very soft dry brush. Do not use home chemical solutions on mixed materials or plated settings.
Chains & clasps
Fasten chains before storage, lay them flat and avoid pulling. Open clasps by their mechanism rather than the chain.
What to avoid
The finish is affected most by contact.
Showering, swimming, exercise, household cleaning, sleeping and applying perfume or body products.
Toothpaste, baking soda, silver dip, abrasive polishing cloths, ultrasonic cleaners or steam unless a specialist has confirmed compatibility.
Blot gently and allow it to dry fully at room temperature. Do not use heat.
Care questions
When a gentle answer matters.
Can I wear my jewelry every day?
Yes, with mindful handling. Daily wear increases contact with skin, fabric and products, so wiping and separate storage become more important.
Why can natural stones look slightly different?
Colour, pattern and translucency naturally vary from one stone to another. These differences are expected characteristics, not manufacturing faults.
What if I am unsure how to clean a piece?
Stop before using a cleaner. Send client care a photograph and the product name so we can suggest the safest next step.
